Inflammation & Resolution

Understanding why inflammation persists and how homeostasis is actively restored.

Inflammation biology

Resolution is active biology, not simply the absence of inflammation.

We study inflammatory persistence and the endogenous programs that return tissues to homeostasis. In cystic fibrosis and other inflammatory settings, this means asking not only what drives inflammation, but why it fails to switch off completely after upstream correction.

Core question

Which molecular programs distinguish inflammation that resolves from inflammation that persists?
